Student Travel Support
The Eastern States Section of the Combustion Institute (ESSCI) is pleased to provide financial travel support to students from ESSCI institutions who will be delivering oral presentations at the 2026 ESSCI Spring Technical Meeting being held in Raleigh, North Carolina, beginning March 15, 2026, and concluding March 18, 2026.
The level of support is anticipated to be ~$300 per award, but may change depending on the number of applicants.
Undergraduate students and graduate students are eligible for the same amount of travel support.
Qualified students must be current degree-seeking candidates at a university within the ESSCI at the time of the conference, must be accompanied at the meeting by a senior co-worker or advisor, who is a co-author on the presentation, and must be traveling from more than 50 miles away from the conference location. In addition, students must deliver an oral presentation: students who are only co-authors on an oral presentation are not eligible for support.
The student presenter requirement is waived if the student requesting support is an undergraduate.
